Certification
Teachers have the greatest impact on the effectiveness and success of swimming programs. SEARS I Can Swim Teacher Course Conductors are hand picked individuals from a variety of aquatic backgrounds. All Teacher Course Conductors have gone through extensive training and are enthusiastic individuals passionate about the delivery of exceptional and consistent teacher training throughout Canada.
All SEARS I Can Swim Teachers become members with the Canadian Swim Coaches & Teachers Association. This affiliation with a professional organization not only provides valuable resource materials for all teachers from an extensive network of coaches and partnerships, but provides teachers with a credible certification that is nationally recognized by the 3M National Coaching Certification Program. All SEARS I Can Swim courses include this certification within their content.
SEARS I Can Swim has also taken steps to assure that all teachers provide the most effective quality lessons possible through our partnership with Ontario Parks & Recreation High Five Program. This program is nationally recognized as being essential for all front line staff working with children.
