Where do I place my Child?
These are some basic guidelines as to where to position your swimmers according to skill. If there is a skill that a swimmer is unable to perform, you will see the recommended stage placement for that swimmer. Please speak to your provider if you need further clarification or assistance.
Front float / Back float – assisted
Submersion & Glide with a kickboard
Front float / Back float – unassisted
Front or back paddle 5m to 10m
Kneeling or crouch dive into deep water
Front crawl with breathing minimum 15m
Backstroke minimum 15m
Breast stroke kick minimum 10m
Backstroke minimum 25m
Scull forward & backward 25m each way
Single arm butterfly
